The Wireless Networks & Communication Engineer engaged in designing, implementing and maintaining wireless communication & constantly assess network pointers as well as performing regular maintenance on existing devices. Strong background and direct experience with network architecture design and systems integration.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Carry out cutting-edge research in waveform design, physical layer and/or system-level design, algorithms and protocols for next generation mobile communications systems
  • Research, analyze and evaluate various ultra-low power as well as power-optimized waveforms
  • Develop and evaluate various ultra-low power wireless protocol designs using simulation, and/or theoretical analysis
  • Through evaluation, analysis and development of innovative solutions for the control and transfer of user data at L1/PHY, L2/MAC, L3/RRC, Session, Application & TC/IP protocol layers
  • Drive tradeoff analysis of various transceiver topologies (including power consumption estimation)
  • Strong background in 3GPP/ mmWave and cellular systems (RAN, MIMO, SA/NSA 3GPP/mmWave, 2G/ 3G/ 4G/ 4G LTE/ VoLTE and 5G), wireless protocol development and wireless communications fundamentals: Modulation and coding techniques; Advanced waveform designs (incl. power optimized waveforms); PHY and MAC layer design
  • Experience in link level (L1/PHY) and/or system level (L1/PHY, L2/MAC) simulations and proficient with Matlab is an advantage
  • Research and strategize data analytical solution to transform envisioned 5th generation wireless features challenges.
  • Deploy integrated data analytics framework (application-level, data network and access-related analytics) in a 2G/ 3G/ 4G/ 4G LTE/ VoLTE/ 5G system to support service-based architectures
  • Research & the deployment of analytical solution across the network data analytics functionality(NWDAF) and management data analytics functionality
  • Good understanding of 5th generation wireless features/slice/service types/spectrum & its allocation, architecture and 3GPP/mmWave & Antenna along with the rest of telecom RF & communication & mapping standards that are underway.
  • Good understanding of 5G domains Radio access network (RAN), transport network (TN) and core network (CN)
  • Optimize network function and resource allocation & utilization
  • Improve 5G system management, dynamic network & service adaption
  • Good awareness of deploying analytics at RAN, Base station, Distributed and Central network architecture per 3GPP & mmWave specification
  • Analysis of KPIs, investigation and improvement of Network Quality problems
  • Work with the circuit design team to optimize component sizes and performance for use in RF circuit blocks.
  • Working knowledge of Evolved Packet Core (EPC), Policy Control Functions (PCF), IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS), Home Subscriber Service
  • Solid understanding of (HSS), Serving and PDN Gateways (S/PGs), and Mobility Management Entity (MME).
  • Regular monitoring and analysis of WL Network.
  • Good Experience and Understanding on CM for Telco, BSS, and Transmission outages.
  • Expert level regulatory knowledge of wireless / RF communication systems and protocols for existing and emerging technologies such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Digital Payment Systems (NFC/ MST), GNSS, ETACS, 2G (CDMA, GSM, GPRS, EDGE), 3G (WCDMA, UMTS, HSDPA, HSUPA, HSPA+), 4G, LTE, VoLTE, 5G, 3GPP & mmWave and other license-exempt and licensed devices

Education & Experience Requirement

  • Bachelor’s/Master's/Ph.D Degree in Science, Engineering, or related field with at least 6-7 years of experience is required.
  • Strong network engineering background and/or relevant and applicable certifications: CCNA; CCNP; CCIE; iNARTE Telecommunications Engineer (International Association for Radio Telecommunications and Electromagnetics); IPEP (SCTE) (Internet Protocol Engineering Professional); Certified Wireless Network Administrator (CWNA); RCDD (BICSI) Registered Communications Distribution Designer; CTNS (TCO) (Certified Telecommunications Network Specialist).
  • Experience with circuit design and layout using Cadence tools and Agilent ADS.
  • Ability to use EM tools to predict circuit level electric and magnetic coupling.
  • Solid Understanding of routing protocols, firewalls, TCP/IP networking, and Sub-netting with operations experience
  • Design and develop, plan and implement LANs and WANs using routers, switches and network security devices.
  • Proven communication and writing skills in English
