Job Summary


The System QA & QC Engineer will work within an agile, cross-functional scrum team to deliver high-quality software. This includes collaboration on requirements/design, writing test cases, manual testing of new features, and writing and maintaining automated regression tests.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Build, modify, and execute tests for validation of hardware and software features at the system level (the whole, integrated product)
  • Design and execute integrated system/scenario tests (including Black box & White box testing, ad-hoc, and interoperability)
  • Assist and execute test plans, scripts, and procedures (manual and automated)
  • Develop test automation frameworks and test cases
  • Possess a deep understanding of SQA methodologies and practices and ability to think analytically, problem solve, reduce data sets, and innovate.
  • Identify, reproduce, and isolate bugs and drive the issues to completion & resolution.
  • Demonstrate ability to lead a complete functional area of an application or product
  • Ability to explain technical concepts to a non-technical audience
  • Extensive use of QA & QC tools and automation
  • Using proxy tools to debug the data flows from applications to services
  • Comfortable with command line use (terminal)
  • Experience with C, C++, Matlab, Java, Erlang, JavaScript, Python, SQL, and Shell scripting
  • Experience with Linux & equivalents, Android OS and Baseband versions
  • Design and execute tests for compatibility of mobile devices
  • Knowledge of Cellular technology and hands on experience of debugging cellular logs.
  • Assists in developing a formal GQS (Global Quality Services) Framework by applying an understanding of system & software testing methodologies, quality standards and internal/external controls
  • Promotes continuous improvement and makes recommendations for framework enhancements
  • Assists in the development of software quality engineering (SQE) test strategy for moderately to highly complex IT initiatives across multiple SQE domains by analyzing business and technology requirements to ensure stability and traceability
  • Identifies, defines and mitigates issues, dependencies and risks related to testing
  • Develops and executes front and or back-end test case scenarios in accordance with the GQS framework and company testing methodology
  • Identifies and escalates quality risks, issues, conflicts and/or resistance across teams throughout the SDLC
  • Assists in the development of software quality engineering (SQE) project plans by participating in the identification of project scope and level-of-effort (LOE) estimates
  • Working experience of using the following software quality tools: Selenium (Web Application Testing), Robot Framework (Acceptance Testing), Appium (Mobile Testing), JMeter (Load Testing), Jenkins (Continuous Testing), Postman/Robot framework (API Testing), Firebug / Firepath (Online Debugging), GitLab (Project & Source Code Hosting), Trello, Wekan board (Defect Tracking & Collaboration), UIAutomator (Galen Framework), Pycharm, Eclipse (Source code Editor), and any other testing tools.
  • Mastery in manual exploratory testing of progressively more complex web development projects (including mobile/tablet)
  • Mastery in documenting and managing defects in specialized software (preference is Atlassian/JIRA)
  • Exposure and/or experience to test in multiple specializations: accessibility, automation, data and analytics, load and performance, security, creative technology, or native mobile apps.

Education & Experience Requirement

  • Bachelor's/ Master's/Ph.D degree in IT or relevant field with at least 6+ years of technology experience is required.
  • 3+ years experience in QA & device testing with a progressive increase of responsibility.
  • 2+ years experience with frontend and backend automation framework.
  • Programming skills (Java, MongodB and AngularJS)
  • Solid understanding of GNSS/GPS & Cellular technologies
  • Proven communication and writing skills in English
