Job Summary


The PCB & PCBA Designing Engineer must have strong expertise on Motherboard, daughterboard, Sound engineering & relevant components & parts for smartphones & IoTs. He/She must have experience in schematic capture, GERBER & BOM creation, library generation, routing rules creation, signal integrity optimization, Power Supply board layout designing with knowledge of signal Isolation and others Layout tools

Eligibility Criteria

  • Hands on experience in Hardware Board Design involving Processors/Controllers, DDR3/DDR4, LCD/LED, Touch Screen, Cellular Modem, GPS, Wi-Fi, BT, NFC, MST, Zigbee, SATA, NAND/NOR Flash, USB, Battery, Charger, PMIC.
  • Knowledge and understanding of any applicable standards, and DFM rules for creating highly-reliable and complex PCB & PCBA designs.
  • Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and PCB & PCBA layouts.
  • Demonstrated ability to read component datasheets to extract critical design information needed to generate new PCB & PCBA schematics, footprints, and layouts
  • Deep knowledge of PCB & PCBA failure modes, reliability, MIL, AEC, and IPC standards.
  • Working knowledge of the PCB & PCBA manufacturing processes and designing for manufacturability (DfM).
  • Develop new processes for improved PCB & PCBA quality and reliability
  • Working experience with high speed digital interfaces such as PCI Express, DDR2/3/ Ethernet and USB, SDRAM, ADC, LVDS, Microcontroller & should have experience to work with Micro BGA.
  • Experience designing PCB & PCBA routing for 10-25Gb/s high-speed digital signaling, DDR3, DDR4, and other processor buses
  • Develop high-performance and low-cost PCB stackups containing advanced technologies.
  • Experience setting up PCB routing constraints in Mentor Graphics CES tool.
  • Work/lab experience in digital hardware circuit design development, implementation and/or validation testing.
  • Experience in circuit design/layout/test
  • Expertise on Smartphones, IoTs, Smart Home Platforms on ARM & Cortex architecture, Machine learning & AI
  • Must have strong expertise on Motherboard, daughterboard, Sound engineering & relevant components & parts for smartphones & IoTs respectively
  • Perform system evaluation and characterizations of electronic controller components in designing heat tracing circuits.
  • Support advanced R&D projects through collaborative engagement with key technologists in design support, building “proof of concept” designs and test apparatus.
  • Experience with board and system level controller design in Industrial Class 1 and Division (C1D2) Hazardous and Commercial environments.
  • Experience in designing products that meet Safety UL/EN61010 and UL/60079 series and EMI/ESD EN61000 series requirements.
  • Experience in structured and accurate design practices including all engineering documentation, test plans, Bill of Materials, work instructions, standard operating procedures and ECO release packages.
  • Proficiency in high-speed digital/analog/mixed signal design, schematic capture and PCB design, defining stack-up and via technologies, part placement, setting design constraints, signal integrity, power integrity, EMI/EMC, RF Antenna Design.
  • Experience in Soc platforms of MediaTek, Spreadtrum, QUALCOMM, etc.
  • Proficiency in ANSYS is a plus.
  • Knowledgeable in routing for high-speed signals, impedance control, and BGA layout
  • Understanding of sub system failure analysis, including display, battery, PCBA, enclosures and interconnects
  • Hands on experience on Design Validation, Schematic verification, Board Bring up, Prototype validation
  • Aware of regulatory compliances like ROHS, SAR, TEC, BIS, etc.
  • Hands on experience in Reliability testing, Production Line test setup.

Education & Experience Requirement

  • Bachelor’s/Master's/Ph.D Degree in IT/Engineering or equivalent field with at least 6+ years PCB design and layout experience
  • Experience using PCB design suites such as Cadence OrCAD, or Altium Designer
  • Develop & Review Schematic and PCB & PCBA design documents
  • Manage documentation and develop scripts to enhance usability of the ECAD systems
  • Experience using digital oscilloscopes, multi-meters, and other related component test equipment.
  • Experience with Mentor Graphics Xpedition PCB CAD tools.
  • Familiarity with Mentor Graphics, Verilog, Python, & Microsoft office applications
  • Proven communication and writing skills in English
