As a Full Stack Image/Camera Processing Engineer is responsible for the design, development, and innovation of camera hardware & algorithms/programming for all related SANSO products. Our target is to deliver superior camera hardware & application interface to enable best-in-class camera user experience. In this role, you will be at the center of image sensor designing & programming efforts, with a critical impact on camera design & image processing.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Research, evaluate, design and implement state of the art next generation camera imaging algorithms for Smart telecom devices & gadgets
  • Familiarity with megapixel CMOS image sensor technology, lens selection and qualification, implementation of camera systems in mobile products, and be familiar with imaging algorithms & video codecs
  • Strong understanding of camera sensors (Sony, Samsung, Ams), camera lenses (its focal length, Apertures, Focusing, Image Stablisation etc), and camera Zooms (Hybrid, Digital, Optical)
  • Experience with cameras/ Image processing & CMOS Image sensors and Photography solutions' algorithm designing & programming
  • Solid understanding of Image processing, AR/VR/XR/LR/Parallax Barrier/Auto-Stereoscopy/Holographic/Percepectual computing architecture designing & programming.
  • Have an in-depth understanding of image science, digital imaging systems and performance evaluation.
  • Experience with ISP architecture(s)
  • Experience with C/C++ or Matlab/Python programming
  • Experience in AI, Machine & Deep Learning & Data Science
  • Experience working on image quality tuning, evaluation and management for imaging sensors, digital cameras or other imaging systems.
  • Lead software deliveries for camera and ISP throughout the product lifecycle - from specification, system definition and vendor selection, through software development and image quality tuning and evaluation.
  • Experience with imaging testing lab management and test setup design and implementation.
  • Experience in full software development lifecycle, in embedded software environment
  • Strong Knowledge of Camera 3A algorithms; Android Camera HAL, kernel drivers, V4L2, Gstreamer & UVC; MIPI, I2C, SPI & LVDS interfaces; CMOS image sensors, optics, and actuator; Computer vision and machine learning; GPU, OpenCL, OpenCV
  • Experience with Bringup of Camera Sensor on Any of chipset (Qualcomm, MediaTek, Spreadtrum)
  • Familiar with image sensor performance metrics, image sensor usage, and integration into camera systems.
  • Exposure to SIMD and VLIW architectures like ARM-NEON, Intel SSE and AVX, TI C6x DSP, Qualcomm Hexagon DSP, MeidaTek Imagiq etc
  • Experience in pixel development, sensor design, and sensor electro-optical characterization.
  • Programming skills to develop software/firmware/scripts for validation, characterization, and prototyping.
  • Expertise & knowledge of designin & programming of TOF, Macro/Micro, Wide angle/ Ultra wide angle/ OIS, Periscope, Depth sensor, HDR technologies respectively
  • Experience with objective camera bench testing and subjective image quality analysis.
  • Aware of regulatory compliances like CE, FCC, ROHS, SAR, and QC parameters as per industry.
  • Hands on experience in Reliability testing, Production Line test setup.

Education & Experience Requirement

  • Bachelor's/ Master's/Ph.D degree in a technical discipline (Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Imaging science, Optical Science, Engineering) or equivalent field with at least 6-7 years experience
  • Strong programming and data analysis skills
  • Design, implement, debug, and test embedded systems software
  • Proven communication and writing skills in English
